What We Do
The Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator (OCPDC) is the main technical arm of the City Government of Digos with full commitment to serve as the primary source of data, architectural designs, and maps, and function as the key driver in formulating an integral economic, social, physical and other development objectives and policies for consideration and approval of the SP and City Mayor, conducts continuing studies, research and relevant trainings necessary to evolve plans and programs for implementation, integrates and coordinates all sectoral plans and studies undertaken by the different functional groups or agencies, monitors and evaluates the implementation of the different planning documents, analyzes city income and expenditures patter and formulation and recommends fiscal plans and policies for consideration and approval of the SP and City Mayor, promotes citizen participation through development planning at the barangay and inspections and evaluates of all zoning application.

Goal
The development goal of the City of Digos is to achieve a higher standard of living for its people through a sustainable economic growth through an active and productive partnership of the City Government, the Private Business Enterprises, Civil Society Organizations and National Government Agencies.
Objectives
- Formulate integrated economic, social, physical and other development plans and policies for consideration of the city;
- Conduct continuing studies, researches and training programs necessary to evolve plans and programs for implementation;
- Integrate and coordinate all sectoral plans and studies undertaken by the different functional groups or agencies;
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the different development programs, projects and activities in the city;
- Prepare comprehensive plans and other development planning documents for the consideration of the City Development Council;
- Analyze the income and expenditure patterns and formulate and recommend fiscal plans and policies for consideration of the Finance Committee of the city;
- Promote people’s participation in development planning within the city;
- Exercise supervision and control over the secretariat of the CDC;
- Act as the Zoning Officer and determine zonal uses of land based on the duly approved Zoning Ordinance;
- Issue Zoning Certification and Locational Clearance and fix zoning fees as mandated in the zoning ordinance; and
- Keep data bank and provide pertinent/necessary data, maps and other relevant documents as maybe instructed by the City Mayor.
